K9 Officer Burns and Odin Recognized for Drug Seizure Efforts

The Egg Harbor Township Council and Police Department commended K9 Officer Bill Burns and his partner “Odin” for their role in a significant drug seizure recently.

The Township Committee recognized the duo with a certificate of appreciation during a recent ceremony attended by community members, peers, and family.

On Friday, K9 Officer Bill Burns and “Odin” assisted Hamilton Township in a Narcotic Sniff operation on a vehicle. The successful mission led to the seizure of 15.7 ounces of suspected heroin, equivalent to almost 5,000 doses. This action underscores the substantial impact on preventing potential overdoses, a critical contribution to community safety.
