Former Postal Worker Who Moonlighted as Cocain Trafficker Heading to Prison

Lancaster, PA – A former U.S. Postal Worker, Carlos Medina, aged 57, was sentenced to 4 ½ to 10 years in prison for conspiring to sell over 2,000 grams of cocaine during his shift in Lancaster County. The judgment was pronounced by Lancaster County Judge Merrill Spahn on Friday morning. Medina, residing on Aster Lane in Lititz, was found guilty on March 4 of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, criminal use of a communication facility, and criminal conspiracy.

Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Rall prosecuted the case and requested consecutive sentences, emphasizing that the offenses were committed while Medina was employed by the U.S. Postal Service.

“This was a great abuse of his job and position,” Rall stated.
