Mother Duck and Ducklings Rescued from Storm Drain

North Beach, MD – A mother duck and her ducklings were rescued from a storm drain in a heartwarming incident that unfolded at Town Hall. The rescue operation was set in motion after a concerned citizen spotted the ducklings in distress and alerted authorities.

The Department of Public Works crew, along with Sgt. D. Naughton from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, swiftly responded to the call for help. Together, they managed to retrieve all twelve ducklings from the storm drain and temporarily housed them in a box before capturing the mother duck.

Following the successful retrieval, the mother duck and her ducklings were safely transported to Wetlands Overlook Park, where they were joyfully reunited and released into the water. The rescue operation received praise for the seamless teamwork and quick action displayed by all involved parties.
