Neighborly Dispute Escalates to Assault and Vandalism

STAFFORD, VA—A dispute between neighbors escalated into violence and vandalism on Monday evening on Briggs Lane. At 7:52 PM, Deputies M.N. Sayegh and S.A. Hensley were called to the scene where a victim reported that his camper had been vandalized and he had been assaulted following an earlier verbal altercation with a neighbor.

The retaliation led to the suspect damaging the victim’s property.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect was already wanted in Stafford County on two counts of animal cruelty.

He was charged with assault and battery, destruction of property, and was served with his outstanding warrants. The suspect is currently being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $10,000 secured bond.
