by Breaking Local News Report

LEWES, DE — Delaware State Police have apprehended 27-year-old Tyler Draine of Rehoboth Beach following a dangerous road rage confrontation. The incident, involving a knife, took place on the afternoon of Saturday in Lewes, specifically at the intersection of Coastal Highway and Wescoats Road.

Authorities were called to the scene on June 1 at around 5:41 PM after Draine, riding a moped, reportedly halted in front of a car at a traffic light and menaced the occupants with a knife.

After threatening harm, Draine fled south on Coastal Highway as the victims contacted emergency services.

A nearby trooper, responding to the 911 call, spotted and stopped Draine near Airport Road. The arrest turned dramatic when Draine resisted and dashed across the highway, leading to a brief chase on foot. A subsequent search revealed a pocketknife on Draine.

Following his capture, Draine faced charges of aggravated menacing among others and was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3. He was later released on a $6,202 unsecured bond.
