NEW YORK, NY – Early Thursday morning, at approximately 3:49 AM, police were dispatched to 112 Watkins Street in response to a 911 call regarding an unresponsive individual, within the boundaries of the 73rd Precinct.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 61-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, lying on a blanket on the sidewalk. Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.
The cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The identity of the deceased is withheld pending notification of his family. The investigation into the incident is still underway.
