Gunfire Exchange in D.C. Leads to Arrest

Washington, D.C. – An arrest has been made in connection with an assault involving a dangerous weapon.

On Saturday, at 2:26 a.m., a group of suspects exited a vehicle and began exchanging gunfire with another suspect in the 2700 block of Langston Place, Southeast. During the exchange, one of the suspects was shot and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other suspects fled the scene on foot.

Authorities recovered the suspect’s vehicle and located three firearms inside. Dervell Nettles, 31, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
