President Too Busy Making Angry Tweets While America Burned, Spadea Wrote
TRENTON, NJ—Bill Spaeda, a conservative firebrand who had criticized former President Donald J. Trump, has announced he is running for governor of New Jersey. Spadea calls himself a political outsider but has the backing of Ocean County GOP Chairman George Gilmore, one of the top New Jersey GOP establishment playmakers.
Spadea, a media personality and longtime morning host on New Jersey 101.5, has officially launched his campaign for governor.
In a nearly 3-minute campaign video released Monday morning, Spadea declares his intention to fight for conservative values, emphasizing his stance as an outsider.
“I’m an outsider they can’t control and because I’m unapologetically conservative: Pro-life, pro-Second Amendment and pro-Trump,” he stated in the video. He also spoke against “drag queen story hours” and crimes committed by undocumented immigrants, promising to make tough budget cuts, reform school funding, and stop what he described as the misuse of state resources by federal policies.
In 2021, Spadea, the ‘outsider’ performed a post-mortem on Trump’s failed bid for re-election against Joe Biden.
“Perhaps the biggest mistake and failure of Trump’s presidency was he sat back and tweeted anger while our cities burned at the hands of radical, anti-cop, America-hating mobs. The president of the United States has the authority to protect the rights of people in the country regardless of what state we reside. The fact that the president tried to gain political points by blaming the corrupt mayors and governors in Blue states where most of the violence erupted is absurd,” he wrote.
