Yonkers Police Connect with Community Over Coffee at Local Starbucks

by Breaking Local News Report

YONKERS, NY – The Yonkers Police Department expressed their gratitude to the Starbucks located in the Cross County Shopping Center for hosting an impromptu session of Coffee with a Cop last week. This event provided an opportunity for the Community Affairs Unit and officers from the 2nd Precinct to engage directly with community members in a relaxed, informal setting.

During the event, local shoppers and coffee enthusiasts had the chance to interact with their local law enforcement officers, discuss community issues, or simply enjoy a friendly chat over coffee. Detective Specialist Sainten notably donned an apron and joined in to distribute treats to attendees, adding a personal touch to the gathering.

The Yonkers Police Department is looking forward to hosting more Coffee with a Cop events and encourages residents to stay tuned for the next session scheduled later this month. These events are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen community ties and enhance communication between the police and the public they serve.
