Argument Turns Violent on MTA Bus

Annapolis police are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on July 10, 2024, near the intersection of Calvert Street and Clay Street. The incident began with an argument between the victim and Marcus Coates on MTA bus #70.

After exiting the bus at the Calvert Street stop, Coates allegedly brandished a silver pocket knife and pointed it at the victim before leaving the area. The investigation is ongoing.
