Harford County Man Wins $50K on Pick 5 Using Random Numbers

by Local News Report

Abingdon, Md. — A Harford County man struck it big with a $50,000 win on Pick 5 after using random numbers he encountered at work and on a license plate.

The longtime Lottery player, who has been trying his luck since 1976, said the number 99456 caught his attention after he saw it on a piece of paper at work. When he later noticed the same sequence on a license plate, he felt compelled to play those numbers.

“Something told me to try those numbers,” the factory worker shared.

His intuition paid off when the numbers were drawn in the August 12 evening Pick 5 drawing. Overwhelmed by his first big win, the loyal player admitted he fell to his knees and cried upon realizing he had won.

The Harford County man plans to use his $50,000 prize to pay off bills. He also expressed gratitude for his good fortune, noting that he doesn’t play the numbers daily and was fortunate they came up during one of the times he decided to play.

Wine World, located at 406 Constant Friendship Boulevard in Abingdon, will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
