Philadelphia Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting on Brown Street

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A man is in critical condition following a shooting early Sunday morning on the 4300 block of Brown Street, police said. Officers from the 16th District responded to a report of a “person with a gun” at approximately 1:38 a.m. on Sept. 15.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the victim lying in the roadway with gunshot wounds to his stomach and left buttock. The man was immediately transported by police to Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery.

The victim’s identity has not yet been confirmed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
