Pittsburgh, PA – A Pine Township man with multiple warrants, who was involved in a standoff with police on Thursday, has been taken into custody, according to Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus.
James Bernard Lee-Livingston, 28, had been a fugitive since a bench warrant was issued for a probation violation linked to a December guilty plea for a DUI charge. Additionally, there is an active warrant for Lee-Livingston out of the City of Pittsburgh related to drug charges and a firearms violation.
The standoff began after Lee-Livingston was involved in a domestic dispute in Pine Township earlier that day, which led to a significant police presence around his residence. Following the dispute, Lee-Livingston managed to evade the police and remained at large until Thursday evening.
Detectives from the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office developed information to track Lee-Livingston’s movements and set up surveillance at his home. Around 6:30 p.m., detectives observed Lee-Livingston exit the residence and approach an Uber driver in the driveway. After he entered the Uber, detectives conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the driveway.
