by Breaking Local News Report

TRENTON, N.J. – A Mercer County jury has found Henry Hutchinson, 40, guilty of the July 2022 attempted murder of a 38-year-old man in Trenton. Acting Mercer County Prosecutor Theresa L. Hilton announced the conviction, which was delivered on September 25, after a two-week trial.

Hutchinson was convicted on multiple charges, including first-degree attempted murder and weapons offenses. On July 16, 2022, at approximately 11 p.m., Hutchinson shot the victim three times on Chambers Street.

The attack left the victim a paraplegic. Hutchinson was arrested two days later, and police recovered the handgun used in the shooting.

Hutchinson, found to be a repeat offender under New Jersey’s “Three Strikes Law,” faces a potential life sentence at his sentencing on December 4.
