Amber Alert: Philadelphia police seek help locating missing 9-year-old boy

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 9-year-old Safier Ammons, who was last seen on Monday morning.

According to police, Safier was last spotted at his home on the 100 block of East Indiana Avenue around 7:30 a.m. on September 30, 2024. He is described as 4 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a red Under Armour hoodie, black sweatpants, and black, red, and white Nike Dunk sneakers.

Authorities said Safier is known to frequent the areas near Jasper Street and East Wishart Street.

Anyone with information on Safier Ammons’s whereabouts is urged to contact the East Detective Division at 215-686-3243 or call 911.
