$150K Powerball ticket sold at Waldorf 7-Eleven triples prize with Power Play

by Local News Report

WALDORF, Md. — A Powerball player in Southern Maryland scored a $150,000 prize in the October 30 drawing by matching four of the five white balls and the Powerball number, then tripling the usual third-tier prize by adding the Power Play option. The winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven on Berry Road in Waldorf, Maryland Lottery officials announced Thursday.

The lucky ticket holder matched the numbers 13, 22, 29, 43, and 58, with the Powerball number 22. Thanks to the Power Play multiplier of x3, the prize increased from $50,000 to $150,000.

This marks the 52nd third-tier Powerball winner in Maryland this year. In the October 30 drawing, 6,810 Maryland players won prizes ranging from $4 to $150,000. No one hit the jackpot, which has now risen to an estimated $54 million for the November 2 drawing, with a cash option of $25.8 million.

Lottery officials urge winners to sign the back of their tickets and store them safely. Prize claims must be made within 182 days of the drawing date. The identity of the $150,000 winner has not been disclosed.
