Quiet Northwest D.C. block shaken by midday shooting, no victims found

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A burst of gunfire disrupted a Northwest D.C. neighborhood Thursday afternoon, as police search for three suspects captured on surveillance footage.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots on the unit block of Banner Lane at approximately 1:58 p.m. Evidence of a firearm discharge was discovered at the scene, but no victims were found, according to police.

Investigators released images of the suspects taken from nearby security cameras, asking the public for help in identifying those involved.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the department but should not attempt to confront the suspects.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for tips leading to an arrest and conviction in this case, authorities confirmed.
