MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Christina Susco, 38, of Budd Lake, has been sentenced to five years of probation with a 90-day jail term for endangering the welfare of a child, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll announced Friday.

The sentencing was handed down by the Honorable Ralph Amirata on January 17, 2025. Susco previously pleaded guilty on November 18, 2024, to one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child related to the assault of a 16-month-old girl at the Mount Olive Child Care & Learning Center, where she was employed as a teacher.

As part of her sentence, Susco must complete a mental health evaluation and follow all treatment recommendations. She is also prohibited from contacting the victim or the victim’s family and is barred from entering the Mount Olive Child Care & Learning Center. Additionally, Susco must comply with all directives from the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P).

The charges stem from an incident on March 25, 2024, when Susco assaulted the child at the daycare facility. A subsequent investigation led to her arrest and prosecution.

Officials involved in the case include Morris County Chief of Detectives Robert McNally and Mount Olive Township Police Chief Michael Spitzer.
