Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Charges in Franklin

Franklin, NC – A traffic stop led by the Franklin Police Department, in collaboration with the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, occurred on Sunday during a joint investigation.

The vehicle’s driver attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. Methamphetamine was discovered during the incident.

Michael Quitman Beck, the driver, faces charges including felony PWIMSD methamphetamine, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling place, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor resisting a public officer. No bond was issued for Beck.

Passenger Danelle Kay Jimenez was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Jimenez received a bond set at $1,500.
