Delaware State Police investigating armed robbery at New Castle warehouse

NEW CASTLE, Del. — Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that took place Tuesday evening at a warehouse in New Castle, according to Delaware State Police.

At approximately 5:21 p.m. on January 28, troopers responded to Wireless World, located at 161 Cirillo Circle, after reports of a robbery. Investigators determined that an unidentified male suspect entered the business and began filling a bag with electronic devices.

When confronted by an employee, the suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim before fleeing into a wooded area behind the industrial park with the stolen merchandise.

The suspect was described as a male wearing dark-colored clothing. No surveillance footage or images have been released at this time.

Authorities continue to investigate and urge anyone with information to come forward.
