Cleveland lottery player wins $20,000 on scratch-off

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A lucky Ohio Lottery player won $20,000 on the VIP Millions scratch-off ticket purchased at Fulton Beverage on Fulton Road, officials announced.

After federal and state taxes totaling 28%, the winner will take home approximately $14,400. VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game featuring a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years.

As of Feb. 6, 45 top prizes remain unclaimed in the game.

The Ohio Lottery, which has contributed more than $33 billion to education since 1974, continues to offer a variety of scratch-off games for players statewide.
