NEWDALE, N.C. — A fire on Forbes Lane has been fully contained, according to an update from the Newdale Fire Department.
Officials confirmed the containment late Saturday and stated that crews from the North Carolina Forest Service (NCFC) would remain on-site overnight to monitor the area.
“We like to thank everyone that [came] out and [helped] with the fire,” the department said in a statement.
Authorities have not released details on the cause of the fire or the extent of any damage.
Firefighters will continue to monitor the scene to ensure no further flare-ups occur.
