Fire at Nanjemoy Home Leaves One Injured

A house fire in Nanjemoy sent one person to the hospital as firefighters worked to bring the flames under control, officials said.

NANJEMOY, Md. — Firefighters from the Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire in Nanjemoy on Friday night, assisting in extinguishment efforts and providing emergency medical care to an injured occupant.

Engine 83, Tanker 8, and Paramedic Ambulance 8 were dispatched to the scene, where crews worked to put out the fire. Tanker 8 supplied water, while paramedics treated a resident who was later transported for fire-related injuries.

Officials did not provide further details on the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
