Maryland State Police search for man after fatal Salisbury shooting

Investigators continue to search for answers as they track down a key person in the case.

SALISBURY, Md. – Maryland State Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the fatal shooting of a 57-year-old man found inside his Salisbury home.

Roy Walters was discovered with apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by Salisbury Fire Department EMS personnel.

Authorities are searching for Jabril Roynell Walters, 31, of Princess Anne, who is the son of the deceased. Jabril Walters has an outstanding warrant for a first-degree assault charge from July 2024.

Police believe he may have critical information regarding his father’s death. He is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Jabril Walters’ whereabouts is asked to contact Maryland State Police or local law enforcement.
