BALTIMORE, Md. — A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a March shooting in Baltimore’s Northern District that left a 33-year-old victim hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds.

Suspect arrested weeks after shooting
Baltimore Police announced the arrest of Manuell Sewell of Baltimore County in connection with the March 17 shooting. Detectives determined Sewell was the individual who opened fire on the victim in the 4700 block of Alhambra Avenue.

The shooting took place just before 4:30 p.m., when Northern District officers responded to a call for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Suspect taken into custody in Baltimore County
On April 8, members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested Sewell in the 800 block of Roundtop Court. He was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged with attempted first-degree murder.
