WILKES-BARRE, PA — A 77-year-old Wilkes-Barre man was arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly exposing himself in a public area of a local restaurant on East Northampton Street, according to police.

At approximately 7:07 p.m., officers responded to a report of a naked man inside the restroom at 150 East Northampton Street. Upon arrival, police found John Evans standing in the restaurant lobby without pants, visible to both patrons and staff.

Restaurant employees told police that Evans had asked for pants before law enforcement was contacted. However, by the time officers arrived on the scene, he had already exited the restroom and moved into a public section of the establishment.

Evans was immediately taken into custody by Wilkes-Barre police. He was transported to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment on multiple charges related to the incident.
