WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man wielding a broken glass bottle threatened two people in a pair of separate incidents outside a Northwest DC business last Tuesday night, prompting a search by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The incidents occurred around 9:43 p.m. on May 6 on the 1600 block of 7th Street, Northwest. Police say the suspect first attempted to stab someone inside a local establishment using a broken bottle before exiting the building.
Outside, the man allegedly confronted a second individual who was seated inside a parked vehicle. A physical struggle followed, and the suspect reportedly made further threats before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported from either encounter.
Authorities said the suspect was caught on surveillance footage, which they have released in an effort to identify the individual. The images show a man involved in the confrontation, though no further identifying information was provided.
Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. Tipsters can call (202) 727-9099 or send information via text to 50411.
