BRONX, N.Y. — Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man in the Bronx as a homicide after the city’s Chief Medical Examiner determined foul play was involved.
On Sunday at approximately 12:05 p.m., emergency medical services responded to a 911 call regarding an aided male near Elliot Place and Walton Avenue, within the NYPD’s 44th Precinct.
Upon arrival, EMS transported the man to BronxCare Health System, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released, pending proper family notification.
On Thursday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner officially ruled the cause of death a homicide. No details on the nature of the injuries or cause have been released.
Investigation continues with no arrests reported
As of Friday, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact law enforcement.
