CINCINNATI, Ohio — A Cincinnati lottery player is celebrating a major win after scoring a $1 million top prize in the Ohio Lottery’s $50 VIP Millions scratch-off game.

The winning ticket was purchased at White Oaks Marathon, located at 6050 Cheviot Road in Cincinnati. The customer selected the $500,000 cash payout option and will receive approximately $360,000 after taxes.

According to lottery officials, the winner intends to use the money for home renovations and investments. The identity of the winner has not been publicly disclosed.

As of May 30, there are still 35 top prizes remaining in the VIP Millions game. The $50 scratch-off offers multiple prize tiers with overall odds of winning listed as 1 in 4.02.

White Oaks Marathon will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
