LEVITTOWN, NY — Two third-prize-winning tickets worth $50,000 each were sold in New York for the June 14 Powerball drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

One winning ticket was sold at Wittenberg Enterprise Inc, located at 628 Wantagh Avenue in Levittown. The second was purchased at 7-Eleven #35134A at 402 Niagara Street in Niagara Falls.

To win the third-tier prize in Powerball, a player must match four of the five white numbers plus the red Power Ball. The Powerball drawing is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

The Powerball numbers are drawn from a pool of one through 69 for the white balls and one through 26 for the red Power Ball. Players have up to one year from the drawing date to claim any prize.

The New York Lottery advises winners to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a secure location before redeeming it.
