Vehicle fire causes temporary ramp closure on Garden State Parkway in Cranford

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes until the ramp reopens.

CRANFORD, N.J. — A vehicle fire on the Garden State Parkway northbound near Exit 137 (Route 28, Cranford Township) temporarily shut down the Exit 139 northbound entrance ramp Wednesday morning.

According to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, the incident began around 10:49 a.m. and was updated by 10:56 a.m. All mainline lanes remain open as of the latest report.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and are managing the closure. No injuries or delays have been reported at this time.
