A Cincinnati woman scored a top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s VIP Millions scratch-off, choosing a $500,000 cash payout over the game’s $40,000-a-year-for-25-years option.

After mandatory federal and state taxes of 28 percent, she will receive $360,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at Ameristop Food Mart at 3385 Springdale Road in Cincinnati. VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game, and as of July 31, 30 top prizes remain.

The Ohio Lottery said it has contributed more than $33 billion to education since its inception in 1974.
