Pursuit on Morton Road ends with multiple charges for Quantico man

Stafford, VA – A pursuit early Friday morning resulted in several charges after a truck approached a deputy’s lane at high speed and continued driving despite emergency equipment being activated.

Sergeant S. C. Jett encountered the vehicle on Morton Road at 2:53 a.m. on Feb. 14 and avoided a collision. The vehicle continued at high speed until stopping at a driveway on Slusher Court.

The driver displayed signs of intoxication. Deputies observed open alcohol containers in the vehicle and located a concealed firearm. The driver was identified as Benjamin Wade, 20, of Quantico. He was charged with driving under the influence, driving after illegally consuming alcohol, possessing a concealed weapon while intoxicated, drinking while driving, felony eluding, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to signal, and underage alcohol possession. Wade was held on a secured bond.
