Stabbing under investigation after attack reported on Cedar Street NW

Washington, DC – A stabbing early Monday prompted a police response to Cedar Street NW, where officers began searching for a suspect described in an overnight crime alert.

The incident was reported at approximately 12:58 a.m. on Feb. 16 in the 300 block of Cedar Street NW. Police released a lookout for a Black male wearing a black jacket and khaki pants. No additional details on the victim, circumstances, or condition have been released.

Investigators are continuing to gather information. Residents are urged not to approach the suspect.
