Assault at Marriott Courtyard Results in Arrest

STAFFORD, VA—A late-night assault at the Marriott Courtyard on 375 Corporate Drive has led to the arrest of a woman on multiple charges, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred early Saturday morning, July 20, at 12:22 a.m. Deputy W.E. Trainor was called to the scene following a report of an assault.

The altercation arose after the victim shared personal information with the suspect, who was reportedly intoxicated. The conversation escalated, resulting in the suspect assaulting and strangling the victim. The suspect has been charged with public intoxication, assault and battery, and strangulation.

Following the incident, the suspect was detained at Rappahannock Regional Jail. She is currently being held without bond pending further legal proceedings.
