BALTIMORE — A Baltimore County woman is celebrating after winning a $50,000 second-tier prize from the Maryland Lottery’s FAST PLAY Big Win game. The winner, a lottery novice, purchased the $10 ticket at Redner’s Warehouse Markets on Eastern Avenue.

After completing her shopping, the woman checked her ticket in the store and was unsure if she had won. She asked another customer to confirm the results, and to her surprise, the ticket revealed a $50,000 prize.

Overwhelmed by the news, the woman had to fan herself to remain calm before sharing the information with a family member. She has yet to make any plans for her winnings, as the shock of her win still lingers.

The Big Win game, which launched in January, still has 23 of its 24 top prizes unclaimed, along with additional second-tier prizes and other cash amounts.
