Burglars hit Bronx charter school through rooftop entry and make off with electronics

BRONX, NY – A group of unidentified burglars broke into the American Dream Charter School earlier this month, climbing in through a rooftop door and swiping electronics including laptops and speakers before vanishing into the night.

The break-in occurred around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, at the school located at 510 East 141st Street. According to the NYPD, the individuals accessed the building through an unsecured rooftop entry point.

Once inside, the group removed several items including a walkie-talkie, multiple laptops, portable speakers, and graphing calculators. It is unclear how long the suspects remained in the building or whether they were caught on surveillance cameras.

Police have not released descriptions of the individuals involved. The value of the stolen property has not been disclosed, and no arrests have been made as the investigation remains active.
