Delaware man arrested in gas station robbery

Milton, DE A 29-year-old man faces charges in connection with a robbery at a Milton gas station. The incident occurred on Monday morning when a suspect demanded cash from the clerk and stole the clerk’s car keys.

Troopers responded to the gas station at 25776 Deep Branch Road at approximately 11:00 a.m. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and the clerk’s vehicle after the robbery.

Troopers later found the stolen vehicle unoccupied near New Hope Road in Ellendale. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a face covering.

On Tuesday, troopers identified Donald Tinley, Jr. as the suspect. He was arrested at a residence in the Milton area without incident.

Tinley has been charged with robbery in the second degree, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, and theft of a motor vehicle. He is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $10,500 cash bond.
