Erie, PA – The City of Erie Police Department has announced potential traffic disruptions due to a Democratic Party-political rally scheduled for Monday, October 14, at the Erie Insurance Arena. The rally will run from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., prompting the police to advise motorists who are not participating to avoid the vicinity and use alternate routes from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

On Monday, several streets will face closures affecting French Street from 7th Street to 10th Street, 8th Street from French Street to Holland Street, and Holland Street from 7th Street to 10th Street. These closures will be effective from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., as the city braces for increased traffic and possible delays in the streets surrounding the arena.

The Erie Police Department has encouraged rally attendees to arrive before 5:00 p.m. to ensure smooth access and reduce congestion. As part of the security measures, Erie Police officers will patrol the area by vehicle, foot, and bicycle, working in collaboration with the U.S. agencies.
