Toms River will kick off its annual Children’s Summer Concert Series Thursday night with a free, family-friendly performance at Shelter Cove Beach.
Mayor Daniel T. Rodrick and the Toms River Recreation Department are presenting the season’s first concert featuring Mr. Ray, a children’s musician known for interactive songs and entertainment geared toward young audiences.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at Shelter Cove Beach.

Families encouraged to bring chairs and blankets
The event is free and open to the public.
Organizers are encouraging families to bring blankets or lawn chairs, along with snacks, for an evening of outdoor entertainment along the Toms River waterfront.
