Jersey player snags full $402K jackpot in convenience store win

Union County player wins full $402K Fast Play jackpot from New Jersey Lottery

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — A trip to a local convenience store paid off in a major way for one Union County lottery player who won the entire $402,549 Fast Play Progressive jackpot from the New Jersey Lottery over the weekend.

The winning Jersey Jackpot! ticket was purchased on Saturday, January 17, at Krauszer’s Food Store, located at 724 South Springfield Avenue in Springfield. The lucky player won 100% of the progressive jackpot — a feature of the Fast Play game series that builds with each ticket sold across the state.

Fast Play Progressive games are instant-draw tickets available at all New Jersey Lottery retailers. Each game contributes to one rolling statewide jackpot, and the percentage of the jackpot a player can win depends on the price of the ticket. The $10 ticket played in this case qualifies for the full prize.

Following the win, the Fast Play Progressive jackpot reset and has already grown to more than $50,000.

The New Jersey Lottery said players can check updated jackpot totals and learn more about Fast Play games by visiting their website at NJLottery.com.

Since its inception in 1970, the New Jersey Lottery has returned nearly $34.7 billion to state programs and currently contributes profits to the public employee pension system under a 30-year agreement signed into law in 2017.
