Corona retailer sold a $50K-winning ticket in Monday’s drawing

CORONA, N.Y. — A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at a neighborhood convenience store in Queens for the Monday, Aug. 3 drawing.

According to the New York Lottery, the third-prize-winning ticket was purchased at 111 Corona Candy Store, located at 40-01 111th St. in Corona.

The ticket is worth $50,000 after matching four of the first five numbers and the Powerball.

The New York Lottery did not release additional information about the ticket.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
