Meet the Mo’yor – Mo Hill to Host Monthly Public Session

January 15, 2020

TOMS RIVER-Newly minted Toms River Mayor Maurice “Mo” Hill (Public Salary $75,000) , will be letting residents see his famous “Mo-Nose” up close and personal each month starting this month with his new “Meet the Mayor” sessions.

According to a press release issued by public information officer Stacey Goergaklis (Public Salary $63,360.36), beginning this month, Toms River Township’s new mayor, Maurice “Mo” Hill, will hold a series of monthly “Meet the Mayor” events in Town Hall.

The meetings are an opportunity for residents, business owners and other members of the Toms River community to meet the new mayor in an informal setting. You’ll have the opportunity to talk to the Mayor one-on-one about what the Town is doing well and ideas you might have for service improvement.

The meetings also are a great opportunity for residents who missed Hill’s nearly $200,000 worth of politically funded campaign infomercials where he discussed his long career in the Navy, high school and college football records and how he’s not really building 10 story buildings downtown, but maybe 7 or 8 story buildings.  Hill may also spend some time reinforcing to the residents that he never took a bribe during the campaign, but that he has neighbors and good friends who supported his campaign. Come out and hear first hand why Mayor Mo Hill is just a regular guy doing regular guy stuff.  It’s going to be a Hill of a good time.

The meetings are open to the public and no pre-registration is required. Meetings will be held the third Tuesday of every month from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. All meetings will be held in the L. Manuel Hirshblond Room, 2nd Floor, Town Hall, 33 Washington Street, Toms River, unless otherwise noted.

The first meeting takes place Tuesday, January 21, 2020. Additional dates will be posted on the Town’s website at www.tomsrivertownship.com.
