Suspect nabbed after early morning DC stabbing on 9th Street
Washington, DC — A street argument in Northwest turned violent when a man was stabbed during a confrontation, leading to a swift arrest by officers canvassing the area moments later.
The incident occurred Wednesday at approximately 12:20 a.m. in the 1900 block of 9th Street Northwest, where the suspect and victim became involved in an argument.
During the dispute, the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released details on the severity of the injuries.
Officers conducting a canvass of the area located the suspect a short time later and took him into custody.
Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old Marques Price of Southeast Washington. He has been charged with assault with intent to kill while armed with a knife.
