FREEHOLD, N.J. — A 23-year-old Millstone Township man has been charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash that killed a 19-year-old Asbury Park resident last month, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced Friday.
Dominic Allen was extradited to New Jersey from Orlando, Florida, and formally charged on Wednesday with second-degree vehicular homicide and second-degree leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. He is currently being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.

The charges stem from a February 11 incident in Neptune Township. At approximately 4:02 p.m., officers from the Neptune Township and Asbury Park Police Departments responded to a report of a pedestrian struck near Stratford Avenue between Fisher and Myrtle Avenues. They found Kyzair Robinson, 19, critically injured in the roadway.
Robinson was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries on February 12.
According to investigators, Robinson had been speaking with Allen through the driver’s side window of a vehicle. As Allen began to drive off, Robinson clung to the vehicle before falling beneath it. Allen fled the scene, prompting a multi-agency investigation.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and Asbury Park Police Department identified Allen as the driver. He was later located and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Orlando.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Caitlin J. Sidley. Information on Allen’s legal representation was not immediately available.
