New Jersey Porch Pirates Twerked and Taunted Victim’s Ring Doorbell Camera Before Fleeing

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township Police are investigating a package theft caught on a Ring camera in the Independence Square Townhomes that escalated into a bizarre series of taunts and returns by the suspects.

On Monday, December 9, at approximately 6:36 p.m., two suspects were recorded running up to a resident’s front door. One suspect stole an Amazon package containing four glasses and baby items valued at $74, while the second suspect mocked the victim by “twerking” on the camera. Both suspects then fled the scene.

In an unexpected twist, the same suspects returned on Wednesday, December 11, at 7:02 p.m. One suspect stayed across the street, while the other approached the victim’s Ring camera holding up a phone displaying the Ring Neighbors app, saying, “Come on dude, not cool bro, come on not cool… that’s my a** on the internet!” before running away.

At 7:10 p.m., the second suspect returned once more, holding one of the stolen glasses, which was broken. The suspect placed the item on the front step, saying, “Uh, I meant to give this back,” before fleeing the area again.
