Police seek help identifying man struck by train at Harlem subway station

MANHATTAN, N.Y. – The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who was critically injured after being struck by a northbound 2 or 3 train at the West 111th Street and Lenox Avenue station in Harlem.

According to police, the incident occurred around 9:55 p.m. on October 15. Responding officers found the man unconscious and unresponsive on the roadbed. EMS transported him to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

Authorities said the victim has not yet been identified and is unable to communicate with medical personnel or investigators. He is described as a male with a dark complexion and black hair, approximately 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing about 153 pounds.

An image generated by Mount Sinai Morningside has been released to assist in identifying the man.
