Shoplifting bust unfolds at Whole Foods

Shoplifting arrest at grocery store sends suspect to county jail

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – A retail theft investigation at a major grocery store ended with an arrest after officers identified and charged a suspect accused of shoplifting merchandise.

Police arrested Markatos Kostas, 48, of New York, following an investigation at Whole Foods on State Highway 35. Officers charged Kostas with shoplifting after determining items were taken without payment.

Kostas was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. No injuries were reported.
