PRINCE FREDERICK, MD — A 17-year-old male last seen at a recovery facility in Waldorf has been reported missing, prompting a search effort across Southern Maryland as law enforcement asks for the public’s help in locating him.

Christian Lawson Collins was reported missing on Monday, December 1, according to the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack. He was last seen on Tuesday night, December 2, at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the Recovery Center for America located at 11100 Billingsley Road in Waldorf.

Collins is described as a white male with long brown hair, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and pants.

The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office issued a public alert Wednesday and is urging anyone with information about Collins’ whereabouts to contact the Maryland State Police Duty Officer at 410-535-1400, extension 0. Officials have not said whether foul play is suspected.

The teen’s disappearance has drawn widespread attention on social media, with law enforcement encouraging residents to share the alert and remain vigilant.
