Teen Victim of Parsons Boulevard Shooting Dies, NYPD Seeks Information

Queens, NY – A 19-year-old male succumbed to his injuries after being shot in the head on Parsons Boulevard, intensifying the search for the perpetrator.

In the early hours of Monday, February 5th, at approximately 2:03 AM, police were called to 67-20 Parsons Boulevard in response to a 911 call reporting a male shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jonathan Mendez, a 19-year-old from 156-03 71st Avenue, Queens, NY, with a critical gunshot wound to the head.

Mendez was immediately rushed to New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital by EMS, where he fought for his life in critical condition. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Mendez passed away on Thursday, February 8. The NYPD has not made any arrests for this incident, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in solving this tragic case.
